ROANOKE, Va. —  Englander Transportation has made its first acquisition of three trucking companies — Transportation Technologies, Inc.; Triple C Transportation Services, Inc.; and C&H Logistics Inc.

The companies, which are based in Mountain City, Tennessee, have been in operation for over 10 years and have established a reputation of reliable service with their team of talented staff, according to Carl Bumgarner, owner of Fleetmaster Express and Englander Transportation.

“The operational framework of these companies closely matches that of our current refrigerated transportation model and we are excited about both the synergies and opportunities that will arise as a result of this union,” Bumgarner said.

Collectively, the three companies add over 80 drivers, a fleet of 60 tractors, 25 being staffed with teams, and 70 reefer trailers to Englander’s current operations.

The existing freight brokerage division of Triple C will be transitioned to sister company Fleetmaster Xpress Logistics. The end result of these acquisitions, which took place March 20, 2018, now provides Englander to operate with a fleet capacity of nearly 100 tractors and 110 refrigerated trailers.

Former owners and founders Dennis Cook and Kristy Herman will continue to oversee the terminal operations.

Courtney Greene, who has been with the company for several years, is now the office manager and will be in charge of the administrative processes working in tandem with the administrative staff in Roanoke.

“We are looking forward to a great start with this team as we take our first footsteps of expansion in this industry,” said Travis Smith, COO for Fleetmaster Express and Englander Transportation. “They are a great group of hardworking people and we are all very excited to have them as a part of Englander Transportation family.”

“These acquisitions bring exciting new opportunities to Englander Transportation and Fleetmaster Express,” said Bumgarner, “We anticipate an exciting 2018 and beyond.”
