On-highway price of gallon of diesel down a penny

WASHINGTON — The average on-highway price of a gallon of diesel declined 1 cent for $3.882 for the week ending June 16, according to the Energy Information Administration of the Department of Energy.

It was the seventh consecutive weekly decline since the price hit $3.975 for the week ending April 25.

All regions of the country declined with the exception of the Midwest and the West Coast.

The largest declines came in the Central Atlantic states at 2.7 cents and the Lower Atlantic at 2.3 cents.

The price is 4.1 cents higher than the same week last year.
