DALLAS — The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) will be soliciting truck driver input on several priority research initiatives while at the Great American Trucking Show here this week.
Professional drivers are encouraged to visit with ATRI researchers at booth 1642 in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center to provide important insight into trucking industry research.
- Driver Safety Assessment Tool: ATRI is continuing to recruit drivers for research that examines the relationship between personality characteristics and safety outcomes. Participating drivers will complete tests on personality, memory and attention. Driver health and background information will also be gathered. Most of this study is computer-based, with ATRI research staff providing continuous support. This assessment will take approximately two hours to complete and participating drivers in this study will receive a $100 Visa gift card.
- Top Industry Issues: Drivers will have a chance to participate in the 2018 Top Industry Issues Survey to identify the top challenges facing drivers today.
- Detention Impacts: ATRI will be surveying drivers about their experiences with excessive delays at customer facilities and the impact it may have on drivers’ safety, productivity and Hours of Service compliance.
All survey participants will receive a free gift at the ATRI booth.
