In the March 15 edition of The Trucker, the first page addresses the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation reviewing tolling as a funding option, though truckers are opposed to this possible solution. The Promoting Women in Trucking Workforce Act has been proposed again to the U.S. Senate. In the At the Truck Stop section, Chuck Small has been recognized as a driver of the year for NAPA Transportation. On page 17, The Trucker reviews COVID-19 vaccine’s impact on trucking condition in the near feature. Also, on page 17, Daimler Trucks in North America has a new president and CEO: John O’Leary. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration have selected a new advisory panel, some of whom have shared their thoughts on what they’d like to see changed in trucking.
