CAT Scale Rig of the Week — Tom Millard

The Rig of the Week is going old school with Tom Millard’s 1955 155W Brockway.

Originally, the truck was equipped with a Continental 6-cylinder flathead motor, a 5-speed 5A430 overdrive Fuller transmission and an Eaton 20503 2-speed rear end. Tom replaced the Continental with a 5.9 Cummins motor from a 95 Ford F800 but is still rolling with the other parts. The cab has been sound dampened and now has air-ride seats.

The truck has been driven more than 10,000 miles since its restoration.

Although there is plenty to be proud of with this antique beauty, Tom’s favorite thing about the truck is that he was able to restore it with the help of his dad, who was a truck driver.
