DANIA BEACH, Fla. — The Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating after several parked tractor-trailers and other vehicles caught on fire at around 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 27, threatening several nearby businesses in Dania Beach.
According to a Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue (BSFR) report, the blaze happened in an area near southwest 32nd Street, destroying at least five vehicles, including big rigs, and sending one firefighter to the hospital.
Ultimately, the fire was contained in about an hour, according to the BSFR.
The firefighter is expected to recover from a back injury, authorities said. There were no other injuries reported.
No buildings were damaged.
